We receive a significant proportion of our food donations from regular supporters who donate directly at the centre, via their church or group or in one of our supermarket donation stations. http://thewelcomecentre.org/support-us/collection-points/
Food donations are brilliant. We ♥ them, but sometimes what we really need is cash. Why?
Because then we can buy the one or two missing fresh items, add them to our donated food to make a great, nutrious food parcel. Whichever way you choose to support us we are incredibly grateful but remember cash donations don’t offend us!
There are so many ways to support us and if you need a little help to get started we are here to help. We can support most events with posters, information, collection boxes etc. and sometimes have volunteers or staff that can help out too .We can set up a donation page or sponsor form or promote your activity on our social media pages and website. We can also come along to your group meeting if you want to know a little more about us first. We’ve put together some guidance that might help you get started and so that you fundraise in a way that is ethical and in line with our ethos Guidance for fundraisers
You can download an A-Z of ideas too
The Welcome Centre also organises some of its own events each year including bag packs, in-store supermarket food drives, curry nights, quiz nights and many other things. We always need support for these whether it is buying a ticket or helping pack bags. See our events page for our next dates http://thewelcomecentre.org/category/events/
If you are interested in doing a fundraiser, want to volunteer at one of our next events or if you need some support to get started please contact Emma on 01484 515086 option 1 to discuss your idea or email firstname.lastname@example.org
